SUNY Schenectady County Community College on New York Heritage Digital Collections
New York Heritage is a research portal for students, educators, historians, genealogists, and anyone else who is interested in learning more about the people, places and institutions of New York State. The site provides free access to more than 170 distinct digital collections, totaling hundreds of thousands of items.
SUNY Schenectady County Community College's page contains digital copies of postcards from the Hotel Van Curler, self-published materials regarding the college history like the first course catalog and a dissertation written in 1973 by a SUNY Albany graduate about the community's role in the founding of SUNY Schenectady County Community College, artifacts celebrating the 50th anniversary of SUNY Schenectady County Community College, an international menu collection donated by Dr. M. Estelle Smith in 2008, SUNY Schenectady County Community College yearbooks from 1970 through 1987 (when it stopped being produced), and SUNY Schenectady County Community College commencement programs (from 1971-2019) . More materials are being added, and also can be seen in the physical archives on the second floor of the library in the Begley building.
