Hispanic Heritage Month

National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15 to October 15 to honor the histories, cultures, and contributions of Hispanic people. Celebrations begin on September 15th because it is the anniversary of independence for the Latin American countries of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. Mexico and Chile also celebrate their independence days on September 16th and September 18th.
