National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15 to October 15 to honor the histories, cultures, and contributions of Hispanic people. Celebrations begin on September 15^th because it is the anniversary of independence for the Latin American countries of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. Mexico and Chile also celebrate their independence days on September 16^th and September 18^th.

Incorporated in NY State, the New York Capital Region Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (NYCRHCC) is a 501(c)(6) tax-exempt organization.

The NY Capital Region Hispanic Chamber will seek opportunities for its members to support their professional development, business planning, and networking, among other objectives. It will strengthen relationships among Hispanic professionals, organizations, and businesses, and will connect Hispanic entrepreneurs and the community at large.
