(SUNY Brockport College Senate, 2023-03-23) University Senate
To assist transfoer students and non-business majors interested in the Business Minor, we propose the folowing changes to the entrance requirements: (1) remove the 15 credit in-house requirement to declare the minor and (2) mondify the list of required math courses. In addition, we propose the following revisions to the program requirements: (3) exclude economic courses and BUS 377 Business Communication as an eligible upper-level elective and (4) accept BUS 366 Organizzational Behavior as an alternative to BUS 365 Principles of Management.

chages to the Communication Studies Major
(SUNY Brockport College Senate, 2023-05-31) University Senate
The proposal involves changing one theory requirement in the "Required Core", eliminating the major's "specializations,' and replacing the "specializations with the broad category of "electives" By eliminating the "Specialization" and replacing it with "Electives," the proposal will streamline to curriculum. This will give students added flexibility and make it easier for students to complete the major in a timely manner. It also may help when others beyond the department are discussing our major with students, as the proposed curriculum is less complex. The streamlining will also proide for a more straingtforward advisement process.
