What is Pride Month?
Pride is celebrated in June of each year to honor the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan. It is celebrated in a variety of ways including parades, picnics, festivals, workshops, and concerts. The purpose is to recognize the impact LGBTQ+ individuals have had in local, national, and international communities.
